We are thrilled to announce that Lovell International School has been recognized with an Institutional Award at the 2567 Outstanding Architecture Awards by the Association of Siamese Architects. This honor reflects our commitment to creating an exceptional learning environment for our students.

From the very first site visit, we were excited about the project due to the abundance of mature trees on the property. Standing among these trees, you can hear the rustle of the wind and the chirping of birds. When we spoke with the owner, she expressed a desire to preserve all the trees and create a school nestled within a forest, where children could play under the trees. This vision immediately captivated us, and we eagerly accepted the challenge.

Given the significant number of mature trees that needed to be preserved, our planning process prioritized their care from the very beginning. This included detailed considerations during site layout, construction, and post-completion. To achieve this, we enlisted the help of a team of arborists and landscape experts to survey and document every tree on the site. They provided guidelines on pruning, spacing, and protection around the tree bases, which informed our building layout. The result was an architectural plan that not only avoided harming the existing trees but also created courtyard spaces conducive to the school’s use.

The design, executed by Plan Architect, encompasses architecture, interior design, and landscape integration. Our approach ensured continuity and harmony across all areas, including the hardscape. We also incorporated playground equipment into the structural design, creating an integrated play environment for the children.

The school itself is a two-story building. The ground floor houses all the classrooms, with distinct play areas for younger children (under three years old) and older children (three years and up) to accommodate their different learning needs. Each zone has its own indoor and outdoor play spaces, with shared areas like the water play area, forest school, and vegetable garden. These green spaces are not only beautiful but also enhance the children’s learning experiences.

The second floor features special activity rooms, including a cooking class, art class, soft gym, and a multipurpose hall. Designed with gabled roofs, these rooms rise amidst the trees, creating a unique environment. Walking onto the balconies or across connecting bridges, children find themselves in a playful space surrounded by tall trees, enjoying a serene green roof atmosphere.

Lovell International School is proud to have created a nurturing and innovative space that promotes learning and growth in harmony with nature. We invite everyone to visit and experience this award-winning environment firsthand.
