In the Early Learning Village our little ones have been putting Lovell’s core value of Compassion & Kindness into action.
Upon discovery in the guttering of our school some little tadpoles swimming about, our teachers and students rescued them from the architecture and installed them in their own safe microhabitat.
The life cycle of a frog is a fascinating thing as it undergoes metamorphosis and our children have already learnt about this before with butterflies. It was wonderful to bring this alive (literally!) for them this week, and it also allows them to understand the importance of taking care of the animals of our planet.
It wasn’t just the children who were inspired – our school management team was so impressed with what we saw we are now planning a frog pond for the next academic year to bring the slippery amphibians a real habitat!
